The Sinus Buster Story
Sinus Buster is a capsaicin pepper based nasal spray for use in relieving the symptoms of sinus headaches and chronic sinus congestion.
Sinus Buster was created by self-defense instructor Wayne Perry. Wayne had apparently suffered from severe chronic headaches, which he called cluster headaches. These headaches caused Wayne to have horrible pain.
He suffered these cluster headache attacks several times a year while he was in his 20?s but started having them several times a week once he turned 30. At this point he could barely perform his basic daily tasks.
Wayne went to many doctors and had multiple tests to determine what was wrong. The doctors prescribed different medicines for him but nothing seemed to work. Wayne assumed that his chronic sinus headaches were related to his sinus congestion that he harbored in one side of his head for many years.
At this point, Wayne was quite worried about his future and his career. As a self-defense instructor, he was having difficulty performing properly. One of his favorite tricks was to give self-defense classes in front of live audiences and at the end of the seminar he would agree to be sprayed in the face with real police pepper spray.
He was able to land television spots on shows such as Montel Williams, Maury Povich and Oprah Winfrey. One day when Wayne was doing a spot for a FOX News affiliate in his hometown, he came down with one of his cluster headaches. Barely able to stand up and in excruciating pain, Wayne decided the show must go on. He allowed the news reporter to spray the pepper spray into his face.
Although the pain was terrible as the pepper hit him in the face, as he coughed and choked on the pepper spray fumes, he realized that his headache had completely disappeared and that his sinuses had opened up.
